Provided through individualized writing coaching, this service will help school administrators Improve their written communication to parents, teachers, and community members.

Participants receive three, two-hour coaching sessions and targeted feedback on three documents. During the coaching sessions, participants draft significant documents, create email templates for recurring messages, and/or develop a writing system to ensure effective, accurate, and timely communication.

Meeting times are determined based on participants schedule.

Hi I am Lanette, an educator, writer and scholar with over 20 years of experience teaching writing. As a literacy specialist, middle and high school teacher as well as an assessment expert, I have helped educators improve their writing practice and instruction.

I hold a doctorate in writing and teacher development from UC Berkeley and was a member of the design team that created the SBAC Writing Performance tasks. I have taught writing at several universities and was the co-director of the Bay Area Writing Project.
